Apache Increases Global Customer Adoption and Surpasses First Quarter Sales
Mountain View, Calif. - May 4, 2004 - Apache Design Solutions, the
technology leader in physical power integrity solutions for system-on-chip
(SoC) designs, surpassed its first quarter sales goals and grew by more than
25% in sales from the previous quarter. Q1 marks the fifth consecutive
quarter of record results. Apache's full-chip dynamic physical power flow,
which includes their flagship product RedHawk-SDL gained adoption in Q1 from
major global customers such as AMD, Toshiba America Electronic Components,
Inc., Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, and a leading wireless
company. In addition to new customer adoption, existing customers continued
to invest in RedHawk-SDL for Dynamic Voltage Drop (DvD) analysis and I/O SSO
verification to help identify dynamic power integrity issues that are missed
by the "static-only" approach.
"Customers are adopting Apache's dynamic physical power flow because it
solves a pressing need for today's designs, especially at 130nm and below
and for those using low power design techniques," stated Andrew Yang, CEO of
Apache. "RedHawk-SDL, with capability for full-chip transient,
SPICE-accurate, DvD analysis, is the only solution available for identifying
power grid failures due to dynamic hot spots and their impact on timing."
About RedHawk-SDL
Apache's flagship RedHawk-SDL fills the critical missing link for physical
power flows in 130nm, 90nm, and 65nm SoC designs. It provides the only
full-chip static and Vectorless Dynamic physical power solution that is
capable of addressing dynamic power issues such as simultaneous switching
outputs (SSO) for core, memory, clock and I/O, as well as the effects of
on-chip inductance, package models, and decoupling capacitance.
RedHawk-SDL enables designers to examine the power and timing impacts on a
SoC caused by physical implementation decisions made from the early design
stage through final verification. RedHawk-SDL delivers dramatic speedup with
transistor-level accuracy. It also addresses verification issues associated
with low-power techniques such as leakage current, power gating, multiple
voltages and multiple thresholds.
About Apache Design Solutions
Apache is a provider of innovative next-generation physical power integrity
software that accelerates the design process and guarantees the reliability
of massive system-on-chip semiconductors operating at gigahertz frequencies.
By providing tools for power, timing, and system I/O integrity, Apache
enables leading networking, wireless, communication, consumer, and
semiconductor companies to develop highly competitive and reliable products.
Apache's physical design integrity products are used early in the sub-130
nanometer design process with minimal setup, delivering the highest
standards of computational performance, capacity handling, and integrity.
